EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Peterson graduated form Western Montana College with a double major,
earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Broadfield Science Education and a Bachelor’s
of Science in Physical Science. Currently, Mr. Peterson is taking a series of
graduate classes emphasizing remote sensing and satellite imagery.
AREAS OF TEACHING EMPHASIS
Areas of teaching emphasis for Mr. Peterson include life science, physical
science, earth science, biology, chemistry, physics and research science.
EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND
Mr. Peterson has been teaching at Denton School since 1996. Prior to coming
to Denton School, Mr. Peterson worked in Cascade as an aid for one year and also
taught in Lima for two years previous to that. During the summer he works
various jobs.
SERVICE TO THE SCHOOL
Mr. Peterson coordinates the district Science Fair for grades K-12, takes
stats for the High School football team, and serves as the Class of 2009
co-advisor and the Denton High Student Council advisor.
Previously, he has been the Junior High football coach and Junior
High track coach. He has also been an assistant high school football and track
coach.
SERVICE TO STATE, COUNTY AND REGION
Mr. Peterson served four years in the U.S. Army.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Mr. Peterson is married to Glenda and they have 3 kids: a girl, Kaycee, and
two boys, Brien and Halen.
